I am thinking of getting a puppy. I live in a one bedroom apartment with a balcony but no yard. Toilet training is a major concern for me. I have heard that you can puppy litter train dogs. I don’t really want to crate train the puppy because i believe that is a little cruel. She will be an inside dog but have access to the yard through a doggy door. Due to local council regulations we cannot put anything up against the fence that a child could climb on to get over the fence, so it’s not like we could block the bottom part of the fence off.
