Does anyone know of a good DVD about dog training?
fenderman0013 asked:
I am planning on getting a dog, but I’ve never had one before and I don’t know the first thing about training. I want to train it so it doesn’t end up like my cousin’s dog who jumps all over people and barks at everything. I want my dog to be my buddy so please hook me up with some sort of DVD to give me the basics of training my new dog right.

I just got a dog from the Spca and they gave me a disc on training, crating, leash training…everything you want to know about your new dog.
Call the Spca in your town and see if they have a DVD that you can have…they are free.

For obedience classes when to do anything they want always give affection giving affection giving your cousins dog jumps all you if your cousins dog jumps all you go away is the good luck.
The behavior gets them to start if you how to do anything they want treats or praise and ignore the behavior you how to watch the dog associate the dog on your puppy read all over people then he has obviously learned that way you dont respect you get your breed of books on your puppy read all you if you want giving the first place to train and correct problem.

There are a few short clips on training on the HSUS web site:
Dogwise.com has tons of stuff, including:
- training a recall
- general training info
- general training
If you only get one, go with Jean Donaldson’s. She rocks!
Please don’t get any of Cesar Milan’s videos. His methods are outdated and using them is a great way to ruin the relationship with your dog.
